  • AAA Lawns cut grass on the corner of Township and College Avenue to raise funds for Children’s House. They raised more than $3,000.
  • Libby Wheeler donated funds to construct a “pinetum” to honor her late husband at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks. A pinetum is a collection of pines and other conifers planted for observation and study. Conifers are more primitive than oaks and hickories. Worldwide, there are approximately 800 kinds of conifers.
  • Eagle Scout candidate, Wes Palmer built a trail between Vandergriff Elementary and the subdivision of Timbercrest.
  • Eagle Scout Candidate, Todd Steelman, organized and completed clearing a trail and building a bridge on a portion of the new Lake Sequoyah hiking trail.
